About
Celia Eddy is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Michigan, currently living in the Pacific Northwest.
Work
Her most frequent mediums involve drawing, print work, painting, apparel and the human body. Her portraits and detailed abstract designs feature a personal style and texture that appears almost mechanical, and behaves like a plant, growing on the surface it is placed on.
The nature of her core style is adaptive, flexible, and moves with the textures and shapes it is being placed on. Not unlike moss or mold, the design can be found taking over full surfaces or clinging to corners and edges. In Celia’s portrait work, her style often simulates the look of hair on the head or face and branches out into longer threads accentuating facial and bodily features, giving the subject a tattooed feel, and fairly robotic look.
She works as a freelance artist, occasionally selling at local venues, and works with local businesses in the Seattle area.
